Adventure Van - Materials and Updated Plan

I’ve been doing some more thinking and refining of the materials and plans for the back area of the adventure van. Today, I finally purchased the materials and have my plans set.

Here is my updated plans that are roughly to scale. I’ve eliminated the cross braces and realized I could make the entire thing out of two pieces of 3/4" birch plywood.

The center (red) section is removable to allow for usage of the whole interior height

Plans are what you start out with and I won’t be surprised if I make some modifications if I find it to be too unstable or needs to be adapted to fit around interior molding. But things are moving along and I am now waiting and hoping for better weather so I can actually build it without getting my materials and tools all wet.

Here’s a short video of the materials I bought and a showcase of how awesome vans are.

Now to go use this finish saw blade I just bought.
